10 Funniest “SNL” Sketches Inspired By Presidents

Tonight Barack Obama will address our great nation. He will talk about health care reform, the economic criss and the tragedy in Haiti. Everyone will be watching. I will be playing the State of the Union drinking game. To get in the mood for the event, watch these 10 Hilarious “SNL” Sketches Inspired By Presidents. They will restore your hope, even if Obama can’t.

10. Phil Hartman As Ronald Reagan
I always knew there was something up with Reagan. Wow, I didn’t know he was such a good multi-tasker.

9. Al Gore As Al Gore
Poor Al Gore. I’m only posting this because he invented the Internet… also, I don’t want the glaciers to win.

8. Fred Armisen As Barack Obama
I feel like Fred Armisen lost a bet and is now forever stuck performing his horribly bad Obama impression on the stages of “SNL.” While I’m not a huge fan, this digital short is hilarious (mostly because you don’t see that much of Armisen).

7. Chevy Chase As Gerald Ford
Chase previews his President Ford impression.

6. Dan Aykroyd As Jimmy Carter
Akroyd finally perfected his Jimmy Carter impression in this great sketch.

5. Will Ferrell As George Bush
“You can’t make me. They’re going to yell at me again.”

4. Will Forte As George W. Bush
Few people will remember Forte’s Bush impression. That’s why I’m highlighting it today. While it might not have been as perfect as Will Ferrell’s, he’s still dreamy.

3. Dana Carvey As George H. W. Bush
Dana Carvey wishes you a happy holiday season… and might blow you up.

2. TV Funhouse Takes On Presidential Campaign
I admit, this is cheating a little. While this video doesn’t have anything to do with a particular President, it does make a great critique of the campaign. Plus, it features Oprah!

1. Phil Hartman As Bill Clinton
Hartman was one of the greatest cast members of “SNL.” Watch one of his classic sketches as a hungry, hungry Bill Clinton.

For more great commentary on the most powerful office in the land, watch Chris Rock talk about shooting the President then go on a joyride with Ross Perot.
